It also prevents the production of fatty acids in the liver and reduces oxidative phosphorylation in mitochondria. This drug also has a particle size less than about 1000 nanometers in diameter and is used for the treatment of metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. 3-(Difluoromethyl)-1-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-5-(4-Methylsulfinylphenyl)Pyrazole binds to a receptor on the cell surface that leads to the inhibition of cyclooxygenase 2 (COX2).
