It has been shown to be effective against human epidermoid carcinoma cells in culture and has also been used as a model for the development of nanogel formulations. 4HEMNPAB inhibits cell division by binding to the amide function on the target cell, which prevents it from replicating. This drug is cytostatic, meaning that it slows down cancer cell growth but does not kill cells.
