Descrição:2-Hexadecanoylthio-1-ethylphosphorylcholine is a lipid that has been reported to have hepcidin-regulating properties. This compound is a potent inhibitor of lipolytic enzymes and cell signaling pathways, which are involved in the regulation of cellular growth and differentiation. 2-Hexadecanoylthio-1-ethylphosphorylcholine also has antineoplastic properties, as seen by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of human chronic myelogenous leukemia cells. In addition, this compound has been shown to stimulate the proliferation of epidermal cells and promote wound healing in rats.
