Descrição:Nicotinic acid is a form of vitamin B3 that is found naturally in food. Nicotinic acid-13C6 has been shown to reduce the amount of infarctions in animal models by preventing the formation of fatty plaques and decreasing the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides. This form of vitamin B3 also acts as a vasodilator, which may be due to its ability to increase the production of nitric oxide and decrease the levels of arachidonic acid. Furthermore, nicotinic acid-13C6 has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit platelet aggregation.
