Methyl 3-aminobenzoate hydrochloride inhibits the growth of tumor cells by inhibiting the activity of thiamine, which is involved in cell factor activation, protein synthesis, and disulfide bond formation. This drug also inhibits pruritus associated with cancer tissues and solid tumours. Methyl 3-aminobenzoate hydrochloride was found to be a promising anti-cancer agent due to its ability to induce neuronal death in experimental models.
