Allopurinol-d2 is an inhibitor of xanthine oxidase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of hypoxanthine to xanthine and then to uric acid. Allopurinol-d2 is used for the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia. The compound was expressed in Escherichia coli and purified by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. Amodiaquine-d10 is a quinoline derivative that is used in the treatment of malaria. It has been shown to have a good bioavailability and is not metabolized by the body. Amodiaquine-d10 has a low risk of toxicity, which makes it appropriate for use in patients with an uncomplicated malaria infection. The plasma concentrations are determined through an analysis of the presence of amodiaquine-d10 in plasma samples.
